My dark little darlings…
People always ask me the same question.
“Which one is the real you?”
The sweet one?
The dangerous one?
The girl who smiles for the camera…
or the woman who stands in candlelight whispering to the shadows?
The truth is a little more interesting than that.
Both of them are real.
There’s the Sindy you first meet — the playful goth girl with pale skin, black lipstick, and a mischievous little smile. The one who writes songs about heartbreak, temptation, and everything deliciously messy about being human.
She’s the one who laughs with you.
But then… there’s the other side.
The one that steps into darker rooms.
The one that lights the candles.
The one that wears the symbols like armor and lets the music become something deeper.
That version of me doesn’t smile quite as easily.
She doesn’t ask permission.
She becomes something else entirely.
An icon isn’t just a face.
It’s a symbol.
A contradiction.
A reflection of everything people see when they look at you.
Sweet and dangerous.
Beautiful and unsettling.
Light and shadow.
So if you’re wondering which Sindy is the real one…
Look a little closer.
You might realize the answer was standing in front of you the whole time.
Both of them.
