We consume more information than ever — news, opinions, and updates arriving constantly. But information doesn’t always lead to understanding.
In this short spoken-word reflection, Sindy explores whether modern information systems are making us more informed or simply more emotionally activated. When content triggers reactions faster than reflection, feeling something can begin to replace knowing something.
This isn’t about avoiding emotion. It’s about noticing the difference between reaction and understanding.

We have access to more information than ever.
News.
Opinions.
Updates — all the time.
But sometimes I wonder
if being informed is the same thing as being affected.
A lot of what we see doesn’t deepen understanding —
it triggers reactions.

Fear.
Excitement.
Outrage.
Feeling something isn’t the same as knowing something.
And when emotion rises faster than understanding,
it makes me ask…
are we actually becoming more informed —
or just more emotionally activated?
