Did SIN Soda Corrupt Sister Ann?

SIN 92 News broadcast shown on a television screen featuring Sister Ann of the Covenant of Moral Depravity during a chaotic breaking-news report. The elderly nun, dressed in a traditional black-and-white habit, angrily yells directly at the news camera with both eyes open while raising a middle-finger gesture that has been pixelated for television censorship. In her other hand, she casually grips an opened black can of Original SIN Soda with the branding clearly visible. Two police cars with flashing emergency lights are parked behind her on wet pavement outside the Covenant of Moral Depravity, whose name appears on a stone entrance sign. Realistic television news graphics read “SIN 92 NEWS,” “LIVE,” “BREAKING NEWS,” and “DID SIN SODA CORRUPT SISTER ANN?” with additional text stating that church officials are questioning the nun’s behavior following the SIN Soda Challenge and that the local community is in shock.

Just over a week ago, Sister Ann of the Covenant of Moral Depravity made headlines when the 78-year-old nun became one of the most unlikely participants in the growing SIN Soda Challenge.

For her attempt, Sister Ann chose Original SIN, added a small amount of holy water, poured the mixture into one of her convent-issued black shoes, and completed the Challenge without hesitation. Afterward, she celebrated with an enthusiastic thumbs-up and an enormous wink, declaring, “With the right blessings, absolutely!”

At the time, Sister Ann appeared perfectly happy. Apparently, things have changed.

SIN 92 Captures a Very Different Sister Ann

SIN 92 News cameras encountered Sister Ann outside the Covenant of Moral Depravity during an apparent disturbance that had already attracted local police. When confronted by the news camera, Sister Ann began shouting and made a hand gesture that had to be censored during the live broadcast. Throughout the confrontation, she casually held an opened can of Original SIN Soda in her other hand.

Exactly why police were called to the convent has not been disclosed. Church officials, however, have acknowledged growing concerns about what they describe as “uncharacteristic changes in Sister Ann’s behavior” since her participation in the SIN Soda Challenge.

The timing has inevitably raised one uncomfortable question: Did SIN Soda corrupt Sister Ann? Representatives for SIN Soda strongly reject the suggestion. In a statement following the SIN 92 broadcast, the company said:

“SIN Soda categorically rejects any suggestion that Original SIN causes moral corruption. What consumers choose to do after experiencing its bold, refreshing taste is entirely beyond our control.”

Officials with the Covenant of Moral Depravity have not announced whether Sister Ann will face disciplinary action, nor have they explained the circumstances surrounding the police presence outside the convent. As for Sister Ann, she appears to have little interest in answering questions.

Whether Original SIN actually corrupted the once-cheerful nun remains unclear.

SIN 92 will continue following the story.
