SIN Soda: The Taste Of Blasphemy

SIN Soda advertisement featuring goth musician Sindy standing beside a wooden easel in a dimly lit art studio. Sindy has long black twin ponytails, dramatic gothic eye makeup, black lipstick, and a white cropped tank top, and she looks directly at the camera with a mischievous expression while holding a paintbrush. On the easel is a large classical-style portrait of Jesus that has been humorously altered with oversized black glasses, vivid purple eye shadow, rosy cheeks, and bright red lipstick. The deliberately irreverent makeover contrasts with the traditional haloed religious portrait and serious art-studio setting. Bold distressed red and white typography across the top reads “SIN SODA — The Taste of Blasphemy,” while a stylized white brush-stroke banner declares, “Jesus Christ, That’s Good Soda!” A large condensation-covered can of Cherry SIN Soda appears as the hero product shot in the lower-right corner, with GothGirlSindy.com displayed along the bottom. The dramatic lighting, gothic styling, provocative religious parody, and polished commercial typography create the appearance of a professionally produced dark-humor soda advertisement.

At SIN Soda, we’ve never been particularly interested in playing it safe.

So when it came time to create our latest Cherry SIN campaign, we decided a traditional portrait could use a little color. A little lipstick. A little eye shadow. And apparently, a really great pair of glasses.

Fortunately, Sindy was happy to lend a hand.

The result is our latest celebration of everything SIN Soda stands for: bold flavor, questionable decisions, and absolutely no fear of crossing a line or two along the way. Because when your soda tastes this sinfully good, sometimes there’s only one thing left to say:

Jesus Christ, That’s Good Soda!
