We knew SIN Soda: Sock Run was something special. Now it’s official.

Crappy Games Magazine has named SIN Soda: Sock Run its 2026 Game of the Year, calling it:

“The finest achievement in sock-based gaming.”

And really, who are we to argue with the experts?

Since its debut, Sock Run has given players the chance to join Goth Girl Sindy on the adventure nobody knew the gaming world needed: running, jumping, ducking, dodging obstacles, grabbing SIN Soda power-ups, and collecting as many dirty socks as humanly possible.

Clean socks are good. Dirty socks are better. Really dirty socks? That’s where champions are made.

It takes speed. It takes timing. It takes determination. And apparently, according to the fine people at Crappy Games Magazine, it takes exactly that combination to create a Game of the Year.

We’d like to thank everyone who has played Sock Run, chased a new high score, grabbed one more sock when they probably should have jumped, and helped make Sindy’s first video game such a success.
